For our video, there are a lot of shots where we wish to film in an open field/space. We went location scouting to find the most appropriate setting. This particular location was most fitting as it was the easiest place for us to all get to, as well as perfect for what we wanted. The winter weather months are actually good for the sort of tone we want to achieve, as the darker colours help fit the 'storyline' of our video. Within our video the male 'character' is facing issues with the 'reality' and 'possibility'. The reality is where he doesn't want to be and so the slightly darker tones help to reinforce this idea.
(The video below is simply a panorama of the location we wish to use for some of the shots)
However, in the search for fields, which was our initial task, we came across a more 'dead' looking space. This could foreshadow the events, or reflect the mind of the male well, however we weren't sure that the colours were contrasting enough. There was a lot of browns and badges, without the sense of positivity and possibility from the 'greenery'.
This panorama photograph shows a more detailed presentation of the location we found. The path on the left was quite useful as an idea, as we felt we could get some creative shots here. However the doom and gloom that this particular location deemed to send off, was not something that appealed to us. However, in saying that, throughout walking and exploring the field further there were some interesting places that we also felt would be good.
